  • That's right NETELLER is back for USA Players

    www.neteller.com

  •           That's awesome exclamation  been waitin' a long time for this exclamation

  • Good sign hope it will mean Micro will start accepting USA again one day  grin

  • Very happy for the US players that this is starting to happen.

Been so long for you all across the pond smiley

Cant wait for casinos to follow suit too soon smiley

  • Please note, that because of Section 6.3, part V.  I'm going to guess there only opening up to US based casinos.  Therefore I wouldn't get too excited about being able to deposit into Club World, Slotocash, or of the like anytime soon.  Mainly because that clause says if your transaction violates any laws of your country.  It'll be declined.

  • It's not active as yet but is in the process of being remodelled to suit the US market.

You can read a news article HERE.

The good thing is that you will be able to withdraw your funds with the Net+Card at any ATM.

  •             Rena,  that's exactly what I was thinking.  Man I wish MG would let us play there again.  Cheetah, I hope you're wrong about that.  Wouldn't be of much good to me if I can't deposit at  RTG or RIVAL.

  • An e-mail from Neteller...

Thank you for your email. Sorry for the previous email which was incomplete .
At this time we are going through the regulatory approval process . For the latest status updates, please check with your gaming operator/

Also at this time you will not be able to transfer to and from legal US gaming sites .
You can access our FAQ at www.neteller.com/us/support-us/

The NETELLER Customer Service Team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please visit http://help.NETELLER.com. You can also follow us at http://twitter.com/neteller or connect with us at http://facebook.com/neteller.

  • I have contacted Neteller Rep to see if she can shed more light to what seems a great news.

  •           Has anyone used Neteller yet?  (from the US, that is)  Just want to know how or what works and what doesn't.

  • An update:

someone from neteller should address the forum and clarify things later today , I was told.

  • Although I'm not in the US, I want to hear this too! It's good to have a direct contact with them.

  • Ya - glad to hear Zuga's got a contact so we can see whats really going on with US and Neteller.

  •             Well I wish they would come out and tell us 'cause I've gotten a couple of emails about what we CAN  do and I hope they expand it.    What I was told basically was that we could transfer money into 4 online sites in New Jersey?    As far as anything else,  I'm not sure.    I checked one of the sites and it said you could only play at the site if you were actually in NJ.    So some more clarification would be greatly appreciated.    Bottom line:  I'm not going to put money into it if I can't get it back out.

I would imagine their geolocation services would stop you from depositing.
  • Until further clarification, it is really hard to understand what's going on.

  • Keep an eye on Optimal Payments plc website - parent company to Neteller.  You can view news HERE.

  • I know a few people wanted to know  how Neteller works It had changed up a little since 2007 but I loved it  before it left I got my money on time I could transfer between account and never had a problem that the customer service people could not handled fast. once you know the terms for all you transactions it made my gaming life a lot easier. Now from the website the new Net card looks like it makes it easier to pull your money from the atm... money  Some of the casinos I deal with can't wait for them to come back too..  ON a side note my area has been getting the online offers for NJ landbased casino and I called a couple the information I got was that you could play on your phone, tablet  or laptop but you had to be physically in the state of NJ... which is not bad for me because I am close to NY< NJ and PA... they are offering freeplay money to get you to play. which is good but Not sure  about the banking situation have not signed up for an account yet//// but will report back if there is anything to say..... LOOKING forward to NETELLER coming back and being better than ever.....( also hope MICROGaming come tooo>>>>>) cheesy

  • .....( also hope MICROGaming come tooo>>>>>) cheesy

I'm positive that Microgaming will be entering the US market at some point in the future.  They won't let a huge opportunity like this slip through their fingers.
  • To find out if you can use NETELLER on a site it is best to check with the gaming operator directly. When you sign up for a NETELLER Account you will receive a free Net+ Prepaid Card that gives you instant access to your funds at ATMs and anywhere else Discover is accepted. Visit NETELLER Support for more information about setting up a NETELLER Account.

  • I always loved Net Teller!  I was devastated when they pulled out of the US market.  NOW I can finally use them again!  I signed up for my account last night and am looking forward to the debit card that they issue.  Even if I cant use it for gaming right now, they still have to be better than paypal!  Im very happy about this!

  • It is great news:) I have had my Neteller card for a while now and it is super handy!

  •               This still doesn't seem to help much if you don't live in New Jersey.    I'm in Florida and want to know if Neteller is going to expand; otherwise it's pretty much a prepaid card with Discover?  don't get me wrong,  I love the way Neteller was a few years ago for US and I understand there are regulations involved but we have to have more access or I'm afraid my account won't be of much use to me.

  • You'll probably only be able to use Neteller when your state legalizes gambling.

  •             That sounds great in theory Blue but I live in Florida and they have weird rules here.  For instance,  we are one of the few areas that are banned from Cleo's  if you can believe that.  Be that as it may,  I do hope they expand it and once again MG welcomes us back; it's been too damn long.

  • You'll probably only be able to use Neteller when your state legalizes gambling.

We are a nice little bible belt community here in Georgia and we like being broke so NO to legalization. You can play the lottery though and have a million to one chance of winning anything. Also if you move to our state the tornado and weird weather might blow you away but never fear, we will declare a state of emergency (even though legalizing gambling would bring millions) and all will be well. If that does not work we will raise taxes. Yall come back now you here(southern drawl).
  • Oh and we Georgians have Stone Mountain and the Dukes of Hazzards also.

  •           Heyyy,  I loved the Dukes of Hazzard.  The 80's, ah good times...but I digress.  Rena, you bring up an interesting topic--The State Lottery.  We have one also in Florida and it's funny I guess they don't treat that the same as casino gambling;  don't know why;  people spend a sh*****d  of money on it.  Legalizing it (online) would bring in even more in taxes....we could go on and on.

  • True, lottery is def a form of gambling, there are tons if people out there spending thousands on the tix. It's just a matter of time b4 they will sink their claws into the money made off online gambling.

  •                   People can get as addicted to those sorry scratch-off tickets as they can a slot machine.  I think the states love lotteries so much because they rake in much more in tax revenue than commissions from land based, could be wrong .

  • Definitely a good thing neteller is back in USA. however it all comes down to gambling regulation, the more States allow gabmbling the better and then neteller will be more viable as banking method.

  •             I just don't understand the big deal about it,  I mean you can transfer money through things like WU and online wallets,  why all the fuss about Neteller?  because you can put the money on a card?  Like a prepaid?  I hope they iron it out soon because as it is now, I can't even use it.

  • It's because Neteller is trying to become "legal" in the sense here in the US.
Even Western Union wouldn't be allowing you cash transfers if they really knew what the transaction was for.  Mainly because of the UIGEA prohibiting any money transfer service or bank to process transactions that are known to be online gambling related.
So really for any of the casinos outside of NJ and Nevada.  It's a matter of them cloaking and disguising the transactions.  In hope that your bank or WU won't catch onto the nature of the transaction.  So you can play and then hopefully cash out.
So after that bit of a spiel that is why Neteller won't allow for any online gambling transactions outside of those 2 states.  Mainly because places like Club World, Slotocash, 3Dice, and of the such.  Aren't technically allowed to make cash transactions in the state, because they aren't regulated by NJ or Nevada.
Hopefully that clears some of your confusion up?

  • Its good for them to try and get legal but us as gamblers still feel shorted IMO.I will just be glad when this ordeal is over and i am very glad that some casinos decided to stick by US when others ran like rabbits. I know it was a hard decision and even though rtg is on my lit right now im happy the good ones stayed. Kudos to 3 dice for finding a way when others said there was no way.

  •                 I hear ya' Rena, been playing at 3Dice a lot more lately.  Cheetah, these processors would almost (IMO) have to be living in a cave not to be able to figure out where the money's going.  I appreciate your explanation, though.  I think it'll change if the gov't figures out a way to make money from it  like tax revenue.

Yeah we know all about the Florida lottery. You had it long before we did. In fact some of us actually drove 100s of miles to Florida just to play it. Lol - Is the Indian Casino still operating down there in Tampa?
  •             Yeah, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  Been here for a few years and it seems they're always expanding, getting more machines, etc.  About the only thing they don't have (yet) are craps tables.  Other than that I can't think of too many games they don't have.

  • hope Neteller is available for all you americans soon. as others have said Neteller is one of the best
e-wallets out there. I personally have used Neteller for 4+ years now to deposit and withdraw and
never had one problem and always super quick withdrawals which i can access with my net+ card

  • I know this is an old thread, but somehow I missed this last year, and was just told tonight that Neteller is available to US residents again.

I see they're using a prepaid debit card that we can at least withdraw to.  But can we also make deposits via that card, or can we only use it for withdrawals?

What casinos are US players depositing at with it?

Are you using it for withdrawals, then ATM withdrawals?

Can some of you share how you're using it, and what you like/hate about it, please?  Any info would be appreciated, before I go to the trouble of setting up a new account with them.

    THANK YOU!!!  cool money cheesy

  •               Hey LhasaLover  I saw the post and decided to update/check on my NT acct.    I almost forgot I had it .    Apparently they opened up 1 or 2 years ago-  I don't remember  exactly when but I know at the time  Americans  access was very limited to a few sites in New Jersey if I'm not mistaken.  I  don't know if any of that has changed.    I  remember years ago having an acct. with them  and it was arguably the best  option at the time.  I'm not sure exactly what we can and can't access at this time.  Sorry,  wish I could be of more help.

  •               I was 'kinda hoping someone would add to this because I would like to know what we can and can't do with Neteller.  Anyone?

  • You can do it but the only way it will be beneficial is if online casinos either add Neteller for U.S. members or add Discover card as an option to deposit because I certainly do not see the point in having yet another debit/credit card that I cannot deposit with. They advertized prepaid virtual Mastercard online but they did not send me what I requested.

  • I read over a lot of stuff the other night at Neteller.com's site and decided that, even tho it seems I can't deposit anywhere with it right now, there are still a couple of positive factors for me.

    1.  At least a couple of my preferred RTG casinos can payout to it; I haven't checked all the casinos I play at.

    2.  Those withdrawals have lower minimums and fees (free) vs. wire transfers and checks, and I'm assuming they'd be faster, as Neteller always was.

    3.  If I can then access that money via ATM or charge, I'm good with that.

So, I'm gonna sign up in the next couple of days and see how it goes.

  • The withdrawal from the casino will be declined. A few have tried and they have a block.

  • Was it the Discover PrePaid card blocking it?  If it was, then, is the card usable at all by US residents?

  • It is a valid credit card and it seems that Discover has been pushed back to being almost a non credit card. Visa and Mastercard is the standard now so of course Neteller can use Discover in the U.S without any questions. I do not need an credit card for shopping because I have tons of those.

  • Sorry I was posting from my phone earlier.

I was explaining if you had a direct Neteller withdrawal then the transfer would be blocked.  As us US residents are ring fenced on purpose so we don't get any il-gotten foreign funds.

As for the Discover Card option, 1 you'd have to have a casino that takes Discover card.  Then the next big step would be seeing if Discover allows for direct withdrawals.  Which I'm going to say is a big no on that part.

A few have tried getting there money from online casinos via Neteller and every time so far has been blocked.  So unless if they have a "processor" that's operating within the US.  To circumvent the ring fencing, the casino would get declined on send you, your money every time.

  • I don't know why the reason behind Neteller allow US to have certain access to Neteller services. If processors aren't even going to bother dealing with US players.

You must not be playing on any of the regulated sites. smiley

The last time Neteller processed US Player Funds for an unregulated site, they arrested two of their founders.

Almost 10 years later, they have been permitted to process payments for regulated US Internet Gaming.
