Vegas Three Card Rummy < back
Vegas Three Card Rummy is a popular Vegas style poker variation that is found in very few casinos outside the ones which run on software from Real Time Gaming. Other than not having any ante bonus bets and a different way of rating hands, there is little that differentiates it from the regular three card poker.
The basic objective is to score low. All hands are rated as per face value but aces are always rated poorly. As the name suggests, each player and the dealer is dealt with 3 cards. Dealer cards are not revealed to the players. The hands are scored and winnings determined as per odds laid out in the paytable. Player can either ‘fold’ or place an amount equal to his minimum bet if he wishes to ‘raise’ instead. Once the dealer shows his hands, if he has more than 20 points, the lower hand will win. In case the dealer does not have more than 20 points, all remaining minimum bets will get paid out in a 1:1 ratio and players who had raised their bets will ‘push’ to see who has the higher hand. The house edge is at 3.54%. Bonus bets are also distributed based on the bonus paytable. All cards are dealt from a single deck of 52 cards. Bets can be placed on limits ranging from $1 to $250.
