Blackjack (5 hand mode) < back
5 Hand mode Blackjack is a game of classic Blackjack where the player plays five hands simultaneously. This means that he/she has a much higher chance of getting dealt a good hand, and so a greater chance of winning. In the five hand version of the game, as with the single hand version, the player plays against one dealer. The game is excessively popular in most online casinos because of the fast pace as well as the higher chance of success.
Like with the single hand version, the object of the game is to attain a total of 21 with ones cards without going “bust”. Going bust is a term that refers to a card total that is in excess of 21. When the player and the dealer hold cards that are worth less than 21, the highest total wins. When the player has a total of 21 with two cards, it is called a Blackjack. This is possible when the player (or dealer) receives an Ace along with either a Ten or a face card (King, Queen or Jack).
The game begins with the players and the dealer being dealt one card each. The players then receive one additional cards, and their cards are checked. If none of the players have reached a Blackjack, then the dealer is dealt a card. The dealer’s total is then checked, and if a player has not gone bust, he/she can choose to get a “hit”, or receive an additional card. Once all the hands have received their additional card (or gone bust), the dealer is dealt one more card. The hands are compared with the dealer’s, and the higher total wins.
