The rules of the game are simple. Each table has between one and seven players, and each player plays individual games versus the dealer. Once the player makes the bet, he/she is dealt two cards as an initial hand and the card values are totaled. The Ace card can have a face value of either 1 or 11, cards 2 to 9 are worth their face value and Jack, Queen and King are worth 10 points.

The objective of the game is for the player to hold a higher card total than the dealer’s total, the catch is that this total cannot exceed 21. If the player goes over 21, it is called “too many” or “going bust.” After the initial deal, the player can choose to accept additional cards. If the player goes bust he/she loses; the dealer then plays and if the dealer goes bust he/she loses to all players. If neither goes bust, the higher total wins.
