The house advantage is a little lower in European Roulette as compared to the American version which is played with a double zero.

The game starts when the croupier spins the wheel, and at the same time sets a small white ball rolling on the circular track of the wheel in the opposite direction of motion to the wheel. The object of the game is for the player to predict the outcome of a spin, and set a wager upon the pocket at which ball will finally come to rest. The player can choose to place a bet on one particular number (Single Bet), a set of numbers (either a Split, Trio, Street, Corner or Dozen bet), the colour of the number (Black or Red) or outcome (whether the number will be even or odd).
