European Blackjack is part of Microgaming’s table game collection. The game is essentially a game of Blackjack or 21, but this version has a slight difference in rules. European Blackjack is available...
at most Microgaming casinos, and is definitely a favorite among online casino gamblers. The game is played using eight standard decks of 52 cards each, and the goal of the game is similar to that of regular Blackjack. The payout for a Blackjack is 3/2. The maximum bet that is accepted for European Blackjack is $/£/€200.
The difference between regular Blackjack and Microgaming’s Blackjack lie only in the splitting rules and double down rules. This game does not allow the option of Surrender. In this game is a player is splitting a pair of Aces, even if the next card dealt has a value of 10, it does not give the player a Blackjack, but instead is counted as a standard 21. The game does not allow re-splitting and if a player splits Aces, then he/she will only receive one more card for each Ace before being forced to Stand. The player is allowed to Double Down after he/she has received the first two cards, and the total is 9, 10 or 11. The Double Down option is not available either after a split or if the player holds a Blackjack.
