“Pirate 21” is something out of the ordinary. Its basic rules are the standard ones – you draw until you get as close as possible to 21, without exceeding it. However, there are many exceptions to the standard rules: there is no insurance option; the 6 decks used to play are so-called Pirate decks, meaning that they have no tens; player’s Blackjack beats the dealer’s and player’s 21 is always a winner; doubling is possible on any number of cards; it’s possible to resplit aces, and hit and double down afterwards; there are also many changes in terms of payouts, which are clearly stated in the help section of the game.
Apart from these innovations, there’s another feature, which may help you boost your winnings – Match the Dealer Side Bet. This one works if any of the first two cards a player gets is the same as the dealer’s up card. In case the suit is the same as well, the payout is 9:1, and if it’s not, then the payout is 4:1. If both player’s cards match the dealer’s, then only the higher payout will be paid.
This great variation of Blackjack will keep your attention for a long while. Its interesting new rules serve to spice up the game, and they may also prove to be quite worthwhile as well. Thanks again, Betsoft!
