'Fun' Games and Graphics

Make no mistake about it – the games are serious, if one opts for the ‘real money' play. What is totally atypical, however, are the graphics and games.

The ‘usual' games are listed – blackjack, roulette, ‘table' games and so on. The poker games, however, are not the ‘usual' Texas or Omaha Hold'em or even the normal five- or seven-card stud. Click on the poker games options, and a pop-up menu offers the following: Caribbean poker, Bet Up, Ride'em, Pai Gow. Click on the ‘blackjack' menu and the following show up: Super 7, 21 Burn, Pontoon.

How the games are played – or what the rules are – is a problem. There is a help section, as well as a FAQ guide, with a sub-section on how the games are played. Unfortunately, the majority are to ‘dead' links – popup windows with the statement 'File Not Found.'

The graphics, however, are – for lack of a better word – ‘FUN.' As said, they are not the typical online casino graphics, especially those for the slot games. There is a sense of whimsy in their designs and executions – bold colors, beautifully designed and attractive renditions, and the like.

The classic card games, on the other hand, remain the same as always although these are rendered in clean, crisp colors and lines.

Not a Typical Online Casino

One may wonder what the game is with Casino 1x2 – why the different approach with the graphics, why the seemingly ‘different' games (which may or may not be based on the classic rules governing the game).

One possibility can be construed with a FAQ question: 'How old do I have to be to be able to play with real money.' The response was that a player has to be at least eighteen years of age; there is no age limitation for the ‘free' or ‘play for fun' aspect of the game and website.

It may be that the website is intended to hit two birds with one stone – appealing to both young and ‘old' alike. The bold colors, interesting graphic renditions, and ‘new' games have a certain appeal when compared to the ‘serious' appearance of many online casinos. It would be interesting to watch if this online casino would, in the long run, maintain this imagery – or adapt to the more serious, ‘conventional' approach.
