Skill game timed to benefit from football epic

With the football World Cup in South Africa only weeks away, the Vienna-listed online gambling group Bwin has launched World Cup Solitaire, a skill game in which players pair cards to reach the sum thirteen and follow colour or suit to boost the score.

World Cup Solitaire is a single player cardgame where the objective is to match cards in pairs so the sum total reaches thirteen. Matched pairs are removed, and the game is over when all cards are cleared from the table or no further legal moves are possible.

The game has no pick bonus micro timers, and no overall time bonus; instead it is capped at 5 minutes playing time, at which point the game ends and the player gets the points scored so far.

"World Cup Solitaire is a new variant of the classic Solitaire, which should not only appeal to football fans, but other players too," said Tomer Katz, Bwin product manager.
