Two more years sponsorship from Victor Chandler for Notts. Forest

Two more seasons with Nottingham Forest

The Gibraltar-based online and land bookmaking group Victor Chandler has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with the Nottingham Forest football club by two seasons.

“This season has been a huge success and I am confident the team will secure promotion to the Premier League," said chairman Victor Chandler. "The global television coverage of the Premier League offers worldwide media opportunities and will benefit our Far East business particularly."

The sponsorship agreement allows the bookkeeping group to position its logo on the team's shirts through to the 2012 season, extending the original deal which was signed in mid-2009.

"When we agreed the initial one-year deal, I was sponsoring a team that had only narrowly avoided relegation to League One, now we are signing this extension with the intention of sponsoring a Premier League team," said Chandler. "The initial deal was in six figures and this one is seven figures."

A promotion to the Premier League and victory in the championship could cost the bookie as much as GBP 6 million; Chandler made a pre-season promise to season ticket holders that he would foot the bill for their renewals if Nottingham Forest win the league.
