Trump Taj Mahal was due to close on December 12. The broke Atlantic City land casino failed to reach an agreement with the employees’ union gaining a brief reprieve as the negotiations continue. The closure date was pushed to December 20 by owners of the Trump Entertainment Resorts with the support of its principle creditor Carl Icahn, in an attempt to buy more time. The final deal could see Icahn take over the company.

This is turning into a soap opera. I read that encomiasts say that Atlantic City is not big enough to support 8 casinos. It may be better off closing because the city can only support 6 casinos. If they remain open there will likely be another casino closing in the future. In Chicago, the mayor wants Trump to take his name off his hotel because it is tasteless.
