Back Successful New Jersey Soft Launch

According to David Rebuck, the director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, 17,000 participated in the soft launch of online gambling in the state.

The head of geolocation company GeoComply, Anna Sainsbury, said, "It looks like people are keen to play. I think the launch of i-gaming in New Jersey has been a huge success."

Geolocation companies prevented many access from other restricted states as well as those attempting to access NJ gaming sites from Portugal, Ghana, India and Canada.

Wall Street ratings agencies expect NJ online gambling to generate $200 million to $500 million during the first year which is significantly less than the government’s initial projection of $1.2 billion.

The Golden Nugget Atlantic City continues to prepare its online offering which was not ready in time for the soft launch. The director says issues should be resolved in the coming week.
