On a recent PBS Nevada TV program “Ralston Reports”, casino owner Steve Wynn spoke about the current decline in Macau, business endeavors and his stance on online gambling in the US.
Wynn, who was previously in talks with PokerStars but backed out, said: “I believe that Internet gaming is not going to happen in any way that is meaningful for Las Vegas.”
He also commented on the chances of online gambling legalization at the federal level saying: “I don’t think it has any chance of getting through the House of Representatives, and even if it did, it would be at the behest, at the encouragement, of the state lottery boards who want to go into that business. I am not going to get into [online gaming]. We’ll get blamed if anything goes wrong.”

This is an interesting interview with Steve Wynn and the man knows exactly what he's talking about. He is in that business as a casino owner and we have to trust on his words. I think that he is maybe a little disappointed from the failure of the deal with PokerStars, but I think it's a matter of time before the online...

I think that he is maybe a little disappointed from the failure of the deal with PokerStars, but I think it's a matter of time before the online gambling will be fully legalized in US.

I think that online gambling should be legal in every country on the world and people should make choice will they gamble online or not. I understand that country want to protect all people from bad side of online gambling, special children but I think...

He has no need to venture into online gambling . Not currently anyway . The US could and did once upon a time account for a large percentage of online gambling . If gaming online keeps booming and growing and laws eventually if at all do return to like before . The dusts settles so to speak , I think his answer might be...

The dusts settles so to speak , I think his answer might be a bit different if a few things change . Its a long shot but it could happen for the US .

Smart man, Steve Wynn. He right and right and right.............. Get through the House of Representatives, it hasn't been able to even get to that point as yet. Right a second time with the state lottery stuff. The state lotteries seem to be a very jealous group. When it come to gambling, the state lotteries want to be in charge of any and I mean ANY type of gambling within their prospective state. Four men on a street corner can't even drop a pair of dice without the state lottery wanting a part of the proceeds. Finally, he is absolutely right about getting the blame if anything goes wrong. The US government has been specializing in blame diversion since, well, since forever. It is a required course before you can be appointed or even run for a government office, really.....
