Sponsorship deal for Malaga FC

Three year sponsorship agreement signed

William Hill plc has become the latest online and land betting company to sign a shirt sponsorship deal with a leading football team, inking an agreement with the Spanish club Malaga FC this week.

A company statement said that the agreement strengthens Malaga’s relationship with the British community on the Costa del Sol, whilst Williamhill.com associates itself with a La Liga Club.

“Malaga is the closest La Liga club to our business base in Gibraltar and we really wanted to be involved with a club that we could support both from a business perspective and in person," said William Hill Online CEO Henry Birch.

“As well as the huge Spanish fan base on the coast, we know that Malaga also has a huge expatriate following in this part of the country, a legion of supporters who already know the William Hill name, and we hope that this sponsorship will bring the brand to the fore with the legions of football fans from all the clubs across Spain.”
