Back Poker Blogger Fishing for and Stealing Dealer Tips

It gives a brand new name to fish and chips as Jay Newmun a 41 year old Poker blogger was caught stealing close to $700 from the dealer’s tips with chopsticks.

Perhaps living in Fishers, Indiana gave him the idea but nevertheless he was sentenced to a probation program after being arrested on misdemeanor larceny charges on December 16 at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Newnum made a post in his blog stating he plans to “step away from the poker world indefinitely.” He has refused to discuss the case in a statement made about the arrest.

The money was reportedly returned to the casino by Newnum after the Mega Stack Challenge $600 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament.

Billy Shea president of the Foxwoods’ dealer union hired Newnum to provide online video coverage of the tournament event.

Foxwoods Resort Casino is owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and is located in Connecticut. The resort features an AAA Four Diamond hotel with gaming in 6 casinos.

New players who sign up with the Casino will receive $15 Free Slot play and receive a Foxwoods Rewards card.

Right now a Mercedes CLA is up for grabs to a guaranteed winner on January 20, 2014. Receive an entry for every two points earned on your card. Four additional winners will each receive $1,000 in Bonus Slot Play.
