A new online game has been launched this week by the Isle of Man-based online gambling software developer Microgaming, dubbed Max Damage and the Alien Attack.
The title is based on popular old arcade games in which the hero has a mission – to save the Earth. This game features 9 levels, 3 'boss' ships and the familiar vertical screen layout, and players are given six lives to work their way through the game, place bets and gain points, Freebies, Boosters and Upgrades based on the number of aliens destroyed.
Potential Freebies include Missiles, Wormholes and Nukes and Boosters offer enhanced Life, Health and Shield levels. The game also offers players to compete on the leaderboard.
According to Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, “Max Damage and the Alien Attack is a radical departure from the conventional slot format and we’re very excited about the potential for this new arcade-style game. At Microgaming we’re always looking for new ways to produce innovative content, so this move into a whole new style of game is particularly important to us.”
Microgaming is set to release new arcade-style games, the company also announced, adding that it now seeks to bring an extra dimension of choice to online gaming.
