Back New Jersey Casinos Unaffected by Online Gambling

According to a poll taken by Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, fewer than 3% of gamblers in New Jersey have indulged in online gambling services since it launched in November 2013.

A total 690 land based Atlantic City land based casino goers were polled.

“Interest in online gambling is growing and should continue to grow once marketing efforts and promotions take off,” Levenson Institute Director Israel Posner told AC press.

New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement statistics indicate a profit of $8.4 million as of the end of December as a result on online gambling services.

The poll also revealed that 55 percent of gamblers are for legalized sports betting with one in five claiming they would place a bet if it were legal.
