Danish online gambling company, Danske Spil has signed a content agreement with Net Entertainment, which will see its games provided to the Danish regulated market.
Government owned, Danske Spil is part of the World Lottery Association (WLA) and is considered a leader among worldwide lottery operators. The company provides online and land-based gaming services to consumers in Denmark.
“NetEnt was among the first to supply online casino games on the regulated Danish online gaming market in 2012. I am very pleased about this partnership as we continue our expansion in the strategic WLA channel. I am confident that Danske Spil will strengthen its leading position when introducing NetEnt’s portfolio of world-class thrilling games”, said, Per Eriksson, president and CEO of Net Entertainment.

This sounds like a very big deal for NetEnt because this Danske Spil company is huge and is considered a leader among worldwide lottery operators. The strange thing is that this is a company owned by the Danish government but I guess that is the way that things going there.

For someone that lives in the US and has for now I am beginning to think , too many years, I've never seen that type of an arrangement. I mean there are no government owned companies like quoted above "Government owned, Danske Spil" that provides online and land-based gaming services to consumers in Denmark. There are US states that have their own lotteries run by that state. Most of the monies that do not go to the winners go to education, but they don't develop games or supply any games let alone take on a partner. It seems to be working in Denmark, it is just surprising to me. I too am a fan of NetEnt games, not a bad deal from what I can see.
