NextGen Gaming has just snagged a new licensing deal. Now, the Sydney, Australia-based slots studio, part of NYX Gaming Group, will be able to feature Judge Dredd in their games, a character which originates from the comic 2000 AD. This popular character has obtained quite a following over the last 37 years since its introduction in 1977, appearing in a variety of contexts such as comic books, graphic novels, role-playing games, video games and movies.
This summer, however, Judge Dredd will be making his first online gaming debut and NextGen has had first dibs on the development of the very first slot title. It will be made available first through NYX OGS. This new licensing deal further includes the licensing of online and mobile slots as well as bingo games in any format for global dispersion.
NYX Gaming Group is, “proud to be working with one of the greatest comic characters of all time in bringing a multi-featured, richly branded gaming experience online with Judge Dredd,” according to SVP Product, Scott Smith. The group’s Commercial Director, David Johnson, further adds that, “Judge Dredd’s infamous no-nonsense style of law and order married with NextGen’s proven premium, repeat play slots expertise will make for quite the summer blockbuster title. The initial slot game will be available across our industry’s widest distribution network, and initially to our NYX OGS partners.”
Additionally, NextGen has received eGR Magazine’s RNG Casino Supplier of the Year award. This honor is designated for the best service providers and B2B operators in the online gaming industry.
