Etches to take new position in July
A new appointment has been announced at the GREaT Foundation (Great), a charity organization that promotes responsible gambling. Namely, its new CEO from July 1 will be Marc Etches, and he will replace Geoffrey Godbold who will be stepping down on September 9 2011.
Prior to this, Etches has run his own consultancy business and is currently studying for a PhD in "Public Policy and Casino Gaming". He also worked on a number of prominent positions with First Leisure, Granada, Windsor Safari Park, Center Parcs and Leisure Parcs, which included Blackpool Tower and six UK piers.
Accoring to the charity Chairman, Neil Goulden, “GREaT is delighted to have secured Marc’s services as Chief Executive in succession to Geoffrey Godbold. His experience, stature and wide contacts in the gambling industry will undoubtedly add a new impetus to GREaT’s fundraising activities.”
