Gaming machine manufacturer Gauselmann could be the center of a scandal involving a software flaw found in machines across German land based casinos which may result in Euro 10 million in damage claims.
Local press reported that "hundreds" of casinos were taken advantage of by thieves in just one evening.
The flaw resulted in machines dispensing cash when the numbers 1936 were entered before pulling the lever. There are reports of casino losing as much as Euro 100,000 in a night.
Gauselmann spokesman Mario Hofmeister doubts that the company could be held responsible considered that the machines were used improperly.
