Domain issue won by Groupe Partouche

Belize firm to transfer casino-partouche.com domain

The French land and online gambling company Groupe Partouche has won a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) case against a Belize-registered company, which will lose the domain casino-partouche.com as a consequence.

In WIPO case D2010-0618 Groupe Partouche sought the transfer of a domain name registered in Belize by one Raymond Pousaz of Mandarin Data Processing.

The Adjudicator of the case, Eduardo Fano, ruled in favour of the French company mid-June, ordering the transfer of the domain to Groupe Partouche.

Mandarin has other domains registered in its name and operating on Bahamas servers, namely

casino.hk, arcade770.com, 770.com, casino-partouche.com, bingo770.com and casino770.com.

Pousaz, a Swiss businessman, is believed to be associated with Group770, which at one time reportedly had a business relationship with Partouche prior to the liberalisation of the French online gambling market.
