What is referred to as "the world's first cross-platform video tournament", International Game Technology has launched a new product in partnership with Casino Del Sol and IGT's Game King.
Hosted at Casino del Sol, the project will allow players to play Game King Video Poker in a major tournament across multiple platforms such as mobile, desktop and live at the casino. What’s more, the tournament entry is free, and registrations are taken on DoubleDown Casino via Facebook, iOS and Android apps or through Casino Del Sol's website before the end of this week.
At present, over 250 000 of IGT’s DoubleDown Casino players have already qualified to play, which in return makes this tourney the biggest ever in the mobile and social poker domains.
Finally, five top scores, which will be selected following the qualifying period, will get a trip to the Tucson, Arizona Casino Del Sol resort where they will take part in the finals for the title of "The Game King Champion".
It has been specified by John Clelland, VP of Global Marketing at IGT Interactive that "The Game King Championship Tournament spans several platforms which will result in the largest group of poker players ever competing against each other."
