BetVictor is to cease the operation of its in-house live dealer games with plans to go with a third party provider.
The proprietary live games launched in April 2013 but have not gained the popularity to justify the cost in running them.
A BetVictor spokesperson said, “This decision has not been taken lightly; we need to ensure the long term sustainability of our business and our structure needs to follow this strategy.
"Unfortunately the cost of operating our own live casino did not generate sufficient value to justify continuation. The business had undergone a full review process; operating our own live-casino did not deliver sufficient value in innovation or differentiation to justify its cost when compared to third party providers.”

This is unfortunate, BetVictor is a great brand and their on-line casino and poker room are excellent quality - their Poker league in particular is unique and one of the best available on-line as far as I am aware, with amazing prizes given away every month. I've tried the live dealer games in the past and would prefer to play them to many of the games offered by other casinos, and in particular those offered by the large Playtech casinos. Its a shame they couldn't perhaps offer these games to offer casinos to offset some of the running costs.

I like BetVictor and their services but I have never been a big fan of the live casinos, because of the games, and I don't think you can take the best decisions when your play live. But that's just my opinion and I'm sure there are many people who love it. So obviously big changes coming in BetVictor, but they should know...

Its like that if you have to come with the trend and you do not enough or good enough marketing to survive the trends market competition. Isn't it possible to buy a cheaper way, like a company that only sells the software connection to their own live dealer tables? Like many brands use for example ipoker and concentrate the player-traffic in this, they could be part in a live dealer software and have not those big fixing costs. I dont know if its possible with blackjack live dealing but it should be in roulette live games, no? I play at betvictor and I really enjoy live tables, so I find it disappointing. I dont know if I would change the website, only for having gaming options like this availible.

I am not a fan of the games that the live casino offers, I like slots. I am sure that many players do like those games and I thought surely enough liked them that's why they they went live with those games. Now BetVictor is shutting down their live casino, but they are going to bring in a third party provider. I guess I don't know how that works with who has to pay who. It is a good article and it makes me interested in how is all works on both, or all three sides.
